"Uniquely versatile" – this is the motto under which third-party organizers put on around 120 individual events per year in the MOC Veranstaltungscenter München, a venue for trade fairs, conferences, seminars and corporate events.
The MOC offers a total of 30,000 square meters of high-spec event space, comprising four halls, six conference rooms, 142 ready-to-use showrooms and break-out rooms, plus two atria. A wide range of space configurations can be booked to suit organizers´ specific requirements. For example, a combination of hall, atria and adjacent showrooms gives great flexibility for trade shows for a specialist or general audience, and corporate events work well in the atria plus showrooms.
The modular space concept for the location was recently grouped into three new areas: "Mix & Match" provides tailor-made solutions, combining rooms and services; under "Room & Ready" the MOC offers a range of ready-to-use, fully equipped rooms; and "Start & Succeed" is a package targeted at newcomers in the events business who are testing the market in the premium atmosphere of the showroom concept.
If the customer wishes it, the MOC team can support and manage all the phases of a project, professionally and proficiently. Always two contact persons are in charge of coordinating service partners and tradesmen, supporting the MOC customers in designing and planning their event and advising on security and legal aspects. Also part of the service portfolio is the management of parking spaces and event marketing.
A glance at the references list illustrates the unique flexibility of the MOC: B2B formats such as "küchentrends", the shoe trade fair "Moda made in Italy" and Europe´s leading textile trade fair "MUNICH FABRIC START" were all introduced to the market at the MOC. And, thanks to the modular concept, they have been able to expand optimally, developing into leading platforms for their sector.
The excellent transport links and infrastructure offered by the MOC have also helped secure the long-term competitiveness of a number of trade fairs open to the general public, e.g. IMOT, Die 6 and HIGH END (the latter now Europe´s most important and largest trade fair for high-end consumer electronics).
On the corporate side, too, the MOC is a popular venue: Major companies, among them Allianz, BMW, Deutscher Telekom and Pfizer have for years found the MOC to be just the right image platform for their conferences and corporate events.
Since 2011 Messe München International has been jointly marketing the MOC along with two of its other event venues, the Messe München exhibition center and the ICM – Internationales Congress Center.
